Trump, Vance take the White House
Missouri has joined most of the nation in electing Donald Trump as President and JD Vance as Vice President. According to the unofficial results from the Missouri Secretary of State’s office, the Republican duo received a combined total of 1,739,020 votes, which represents 58.37% of the statewide vote.
In comparison, Kamala D. Harris and Tim Walz received 1,190,806 votes, making up 39.97%. Additionally, Libertarians Chase Oliver and Mike Ter Maat received 23,754 votes (0.79%), while Green Party candidates Jill Stein and Rudolph Ware collected 16,956 votes (0.56%). Furthermore, there were 49 write-in votes cast in Missouri.
In Ray County, voters mirrored the national trend, with the Board of Elections reporting 8,602 votes (73.53%) for Trump and Vance and 2,927 votes (25.02%) for Harris and Walz. Furthermore, Oliver and Maat received 82 votes (0.70%), and Stein and Ware received 51 votes (0.44%). The county also recorded 37 (0.32%) write-in votes.
