RICHMOND – The Missouri Central Regional Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Clark, teaches at Richmond High School. “We’re excited about that,” district Superintendent Greg Darling said. “She was nominated by Richmond. She was a top vote-getter in our district.” An English and social studies teacher, Clark competed against other teachers from around the region to receive the award, he said. “We’re happy for her,” Darling said. “She’s a hard-working, dedicated person who goes above and beyond for students.” The recognition allows Clark to compete against other regional finalists from around the state for the Missouri Teacher of the Year title. Last year’s winner, Darrion Cockrell, a physical education teacher from the Lindbergh School District in St. Louis County, received the award in December.
