A Chief no more KANSAS CITY – Dustin Colquitt will no longer wear a Kansas City Chiefs uniform. The veteran punter has been released after 15 seasons with the Chiefs, the team stated April 28 n a news release. “My family and I are immensely grateful for the contributions Dustin and his family have made to the Chiefs over the last 15 years,” Clark Hunt, chairman and CEO, stated. “Dustin has cemented his place as one (of the) greatest punters in the history of the NFL.” Colquitt is the team record-holder for most regularseason games played, 238, and in other categories. Baseball coming in July? KANSAS CITY – Ray Countians might see the Kansas City Royals in action again around Independence Day, if recent reports prove correct. The Royals and Major League Baseball’s 29 other teams were in the middle of spring training in March when the coronavirus pandemic forced MLB clubs to cease activity.
