RICHMOND – The Ray County Senior Center and Eagleton Center Building should reopen soon, though work is ongoing, Ray County commissioners said during a meeting last week. “There’s one new bathroom,” Eastern Commissioner Dave Powell said. The new bathroom complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Powell said. “That was constructed specifically for wheelchairs,” he said. The other bathrooms underwent remodeling. “They redid the walls that were rotted at the bottom, so they gutted them and put in new studs and sheetrock, a new ceiling. They put in new toilets … and redid plumbing for the new bathroom. They had to cut the concrete,” Powell said. The epoxy floor is complete he said. “It really looks good,” Powell said.
