School district invites all to Back-to-School Bash
Going back to school is something to celebrate in the eyes of the Richmond R-XVI School District. They are celebrating with a third annual “Back to School Bash” on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 4-8 p.m. at the Richmond High School.
“We want the whole community to be there. This is for everyone, whether you have kids in the district or not. Come to see what programs we have an offer. All staff will be present and all ages are invited,” said Richmond R-XVI Assistant Superintendent Nicole Yoakum.
The event will have a bounce house, music, Richmond City Fire Department and Richmond City Police Department while all school clubs will have tables set up with information, along with food trucks including Weenies and Paninis, Donut NV, Burritos Lagos and a shaved ice food truck.
“We want to make this the normal where everyone is involved. We are pushing for the community to want to be intertwined in the schools,” concluded Yoakum.
