RMS students relish time in US Capital
A group of Richmond Middle School eighth-graders recently returned from an action-packed trip to Washington DC, where the students were able to see history books come to life, gaining a deeper understanding of our nation’s history and the consequences of our leaders’ actions.
Students attending were Jace Antoine, Taylor Baker, Kasen Bassett, Addison Beck, Molly Combs, Landon Garrett, Jordan Hendrix, Isabella Jenkins, Dalton Moore, Angel Ramirez, Emma Robbins, Rachel Sisco and Madison Wolf. They were chaperoned by Brenda Hamm, Donna Baker, Amy Miller-Moore, George Robbins and Erin Sisco.
The first day was filled with visits to the United States Botanical Gardens, the 9/11Pentagon Memorial, created to remember and honor those who lost their lives during the events on September 11, 2001 at the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam and Korean War memorials and the iconic United States Marine Corp War Memorial that features Marines hoisting the American flag…
