Richmond School District Board
With three open seats on the Richmond R-XVI School District board and three residents vying for a spot, each candidate will take a seat at the table. The position, however, will remain on the ballot.
The candidates — incumbent Molly Lieberknecht, 54; incumbent Karmen Dooley, 47; and Brad Edwards, 46.
In order to give voters insight into the new board members and their views on important subjects, they responded to a questionnaire from The Richmond News.
BACKGROUND
Lieberknecht, who has lived in Rayville for the past seven years, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is currently the centralized director of sales with HEI Hotels & Resorts. She is married with three children and seven grandchildren – including one that attends Richmond Middle School. Her relevant experience includes being a school board member for the past two years, various volunteer positions within the school district, past professional and non-profit board involvement.
