As Building Safety Month enters its second week, Richmond officials are urging residents to take an active role in keeping homes, schools and businesses structurally safe and environmentally responsible. Observed globally each May, Building Safety Month is an international public awareness campaign spearheaded by the International Code Council (ICC) to increase understanding on the importance of safe construction practices, updated building codes and community resilience.
