Richmond is no longer undefeated in varsity boys wrestling duals this season. Cameron ended Richmond’s run of dual victories by edging the Spartans 37-32 Tuesday night at Cameron. “They wrestled well,” coach Cody Hogan stated Wednesday via email. “We didn’t wrestle to our full potential, but that was expected with the time off the last two weeks. We have a lot to work on before the district tournament.” Georgan Happy, Declan Cockrum, Cayden Morris, Madix Hutchings, Gabe Baker, Elijah Sanders and Hayden Happy each got victories to put the Spartans in position to remain unbeaten. Hayden Happy, Cockrum and Morris each won by pin. Sanders won by technical fall. Georgan Happy, Hutchings and Baker each won by decision. The loss put the Spartans at 7-1 in duals.
