RCSD still plagued with warrant entry issues
The latest update in the five-month attempt to fix warrant entry issues has left June’s issuance of “one last chance” to be extended yet another month by Ray Council 911 Board.
During the late July meeting of the board, an update on the ongoing problem with warrant entries by Ray County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) was given, revealing an astonishing number of errors.
The 911 board agreed to “one last chance” to lessen mistakes being made, as the sheriff had increased the hours of his jail administrator to full time in hopes of fixing the problem. However, after board staffer Amanda
Collins presented the latest list of errors, the board agreed to grant the sheriff yet another month to fix the issues, as the board will revisit the problem at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24 in the Ray County 911 Board office.
