Ray County 911 board limited to discussion without quorum

A lack of quorum prevented the Ray County 911 Board from taking any official action during its latest meeting, leaving multiple agenda items automatically tabled while members discussed staffing, equipment requests and operational updates. Only three board members – Jimmy Carter, Perry Vandiver and Pete Oulman – were present for the meeting, leaving the board short of the number required to conduct official business. Because a quorum was not established, the board could not approve the agenda, minutes or financial report listed on the meeting agenda. Much of the meeting discussion focused on operational updates from the Ray County 911 center, with dispatch staff member Amanda Collins providing several reports to those present.
