The 2024 Ray County 4-H Recognition Event recently took place at the Eagleton Civic Center. The reception was sponsored by the Richmond Farm Bureau, the Richmond Rotary Club, FCS Financial, and the Ray County 4-H Council. Dantin McBee, president of the Ray County 4-H Council welcomed attendees to the event. This year, awards were presented for Outstanding 4-H Secretary, Outstanding 4-H Treasurer and Outstanding 4-H Scrapbook. The winners included Brycen Ward from the Lawson 4-H Club, who received a plaque and a notebook for his Secretary Book; Trinity Thomas from the Guys and Gals 4-H Club, who also received a plaque and a notebook for her Treasurer Book; and Weston Covey from the Olde Tyme 4-H Club, who received scrapbook supplies and a plaque for his Scrapbook. The 4-H Reporter Award was presented to Lincoln Safley from Millville 4-H Club, who received a notebook and plaque for submitting at least four monthly reports to the office and local newspaper about club activities. …
