Prosecuting attorney reports case dismissed, one to refile

Ray County Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston finally spoke out about Justin Robinson, a 40-year-old Richmond man and his two cases involving 18 felonies.
Johnston reports one case was dismissed and the other is set to refile.
Robinson’s Jan. 30, 2023, case was dismissed by Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Joseph Donald McGaugh, who stood in for Judge Lori Baskins and overruled the state’s continuance request.
This case included six counts of domestic assault, six counts of armed criminal action, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child – creating substantial risk. That case was dismissed after The state has yet to refile the Jan. 30, 2023, case.
“We are planning to refile but have not done so yet. There are a few things we are working on in the case, before refiling, to make sure it moves through the system as swiftly as possible,” Johnston said.
