Production of ‘12 Incompetent Jurors’ deemed a success

Last week, the Richmond High School theater department presented its version of the play “12 Incompetent Jurors,” based on the Emmy Award-winning teleplay-turned-Hollywood film “12 Angry Men” by Reginald Rose and adapted for the stage by Ian McWethy. “This was a comedy and we were very pleased with the community interest,” said Richmond High School theater teacher Shari Donaldson. Donaldson explained how Trenton High School will perform the same play later this spring. “Their cast came Friday night to see our show and we planned for the two groups to meet onstage after the show to talk about characters and staging,” she said. Donaldson invited the Trenton students to stay after and meet the cast. The students talked to their “stage doppelgangers,” as the students dubbed them. “The students from both schools really enjoyed the chance to talk about the show and share ideas,” she mentioned. “Many of them are now new friends on social media and are enjoying talking about theater and…
