The University of Missouri (MU) Northwest team celebrates four years with Extension Engagement Specialist Chelsea Corkins in the team spotlight. Corkins is passionate about the Extension collaborations and partnerships that can happen in her community and surrounding areas. She is actively involved with the Extension Council in each county and works to help each group stay up to date with opportunities and resources. In her current role as an Extension Engagement Specialist, Corkins’ work amplifies the educational resources of MU Extension specialists serving across the region. By working with County Extension Councils, office staff and county faculty, Corkins strives to reach a wider audience and bring a broader understanding to MU Extensions impact. Coming from an engineering background, Corkins knows the systems that connect our community networks – both physically and socially.
