MoDot offers additional insight into Lawson intersection options

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is offering more details and clarity on proposed improvements at the intersection of Missouri Route D and U.S. Route 69 in Lawson following a public meeting held on March 27. The agency is actively seeking public input as it considers two alternative designs to improve traffic flow and safety at the increasingly congested intersection. According to MoDOT officials, the primary objectives of the project are to address safety and operational issues where Route D meets U.S. 69, particularly during peak travel hours. A sharp incline on U.S. 69 just south of the intersection also presents a visibility concern, making safety a key factor in the design evaluation process.
