The Ministerial Alliance of Richmond sponsored the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on Oct. 20. It started bright and early at 6:45 a.m. “I thought it went wonderful,” said Richmond Mayor Mike Wright. “The speakers were great (and) the prayers were great. The Ministerial Alliance did a fantastic job putting it together.” The mayor welcomed the crowd of community members. Dr. William Isaacson started the initial prayer before breakfast and introduced the keynote speaker Dr. Ken Parker, a Baptist minister from Kearney. “It was a great way to start the morning. The prayers were inspirational, and it was nice to see so many community members there,” said Sharon Donat, general manager of the Richmond News. Around 7:40 a.m., the prayers began.
