Local principal inducted into hall of fame

This past weekend, Richmond Middle School (RMS) Principal Staci Maddux was inducted into the Missouri State High School FastPitch Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Hall of Fame. After starting the Richmond softball program at the Richmond R-XVI School District, she made history in Missouri. “This year, I was chosen. It was quite an honor. My whole family was there with me on Saturday. It was one of those days, you just didn’t want to end,” said Maddux. “They’ve been doing this since 2006. I am the assistant executive director of the MHSFCA.As far as the Hall of Fame, I was nominated by Jana Harrison and Mallory Cole. They nominated me, then the association has a selection committee, and it goes through. There are criteria that you have to meet. It is a point total,” said Maddux. She said she was chosen out of three, and she was also inducted with Tracy Bertoncin, a past collegiate teammate and competitive coach who started coaching in Pleasant Hill in 1994. “It’s even more of an honor…
