The Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce raised a toast to more success to the community and business owners in the future during its 75th anniversary celebration Oct. 20 at Branded Steakhouse Event Center. With people dressed to the nines and chatting while sipping cocktails, Chamber Board President Brian Rice opened the presentation with words of encouragement. “I want to say everything started when we hired Renee Kellerman,” Rice said. “That was the first thing we did, and in September 2021, she entered the office, which was struggling, as so many businesses were during COVID. We opened the doors with $933 in the bank (and) $325 in the Christmas fund. Renee was initially contracted to work 20 hours a week, but doing what Renee does, she easily donated 33 hours plus each week, including her weekends.” He continued praising Kellerman for how she had helped the chamber and pointed out where the finances are today.
