Leader with General Motors, Richmond graduate, retires

RICHMOND – Kenny White, a 1977 Richmond High School graduate, is retiring as director of General Motors Global Paint Manufacturing Engineering. He will retire on Sept. 1 after 44 years of service. “Kenny spent most of his career in manufacturing roles, specifically paint. He started as a co-op student at Fairfax, through General Motors Institute, where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering,” company information states. “Upon graduation, Kenny worked in maintenance and plant engineering and as a process engineer at FFX prior to his promotion to Framingham.” White continued to move up in the company, serving in various roles and locations. “This culminated in Kenny finishing the last six years of his career in his current role with Vehicle Systems, where he has established and led a lean and extremely well-connected team of experts across the globe,” company information states. “Along the way, Kenny developed strong relationships in the paint industry with our…
