LA is my pickleball, music and sports-watching lady
High heat, drop kicks, random observations and points that amuse are all part of the wide, wide world of sports at the community and national levels.
With the Richmond News’ spring sports preview; a road trip to Hutchinson, Kan.; and the April holy days in the rearview mirror, I’m ready to pad my pickleball/pop music-related/travelrelated bucket list again.
As you might remember, a few weeks ago, I began listing places in America where I’d like to play pickleball and take in some music history as part of my sports-related bucket list. In my last column, I listed five places: Kansas City; Clear Lake, Iowa; Minneapolis/ Chanhassen, Minn.; Seattle/Aberdeen, Wash.; and San Francisco.
For this column, I had planned to list the next five. Because of space, however, I’ll only list one: Los Angeles, or “LA,” as it’s commonly known.
