HUD executive director receives 2nd high rating since she began at RHA in 2019

A high rating is impressive. April Maulsby, executive director of the Richmond Housing Authority (RHA), said her agency has received high rating since she has been there. The inspection and rating is from a Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC). Maulsby began working at the RHA in 2018. In 2017, the housing agency scored a 69 out of a possible 100. In 2018, it was overlooked and didn’t receive an inspection. In 2019, the score was 96. “Which is really, really good,” Maulsby said smiling, in comparing the 2017 rating to the 2019 rating. Maulsby made it clear that, during the REAC inspection, they look into a multitude of sections within the business. They look into the physical parts, like units, the outside and inside, the property, the land, the financial inspections, capital funds and management.
