Hardison joins council
RICHMOND — Jim Hardison officially joined Richmond’s City Council Tuesday evening after the election results of the June 7 runoff election had been approved.
Hardison will represent Ward I for a term of one year, replacing Tom Williams, who was appointed to the seat when it became vacant.
Williams was recognized by Mayor Mike Wright and the council for his time and effort while serving as councilman.
The mayor appointed Hardison to serve on the Public Works and Public Safety committees.
Also during the meeting, Barb Hardwick was selected to serve as this year’s mayor pro tem.
