Halloween activities throughout area
EXCELSIOR SPRINGS – With Halloween roughly a week away, activities are being posted throughout the bi-county area and, for those who like to drive around to look at decorations, there are plenty of houses showing holiday spirit.
The following is a guide to the area’s Halloween activities…
RICHMOND
Houses throughout the community are preparing for Halloween, with 707 and 705 E. Lexington St. being among the most popular haunts.
The lawns of the two houses contain various creepy sights, including graveyards, spiders, a giant skeleton, a skeleton barfing continuously and a skeleton playing whack-a-skull with skeleton heads.
“We’re having fun with this,” Betty Glynn, 707 E. Lexington, said. “There’s quite a few people in town stepping up.”
The Glynns have provided the spooky decorations for several years.
“I started doing this for my grandkids – they just live down the street. ... Now, people drive by just to see it.”
