Foundation grows in George Robinson’s memory
Originating in the belief people should help one another, a new foundation has been built in memory of George V. Robinson.
Robinson’s lifelong commitment to helping others is being carried into a new generation as his family launches scholarships, holiday food donations and local fundraisers rooted in his belief that “you help each other.”
His children emphasized the work keeps their father’s memory alive and reflects the kindness he showed throughout his life.
The foundation was created in 2025 to honor a man remembered across Richmond for generosity, determination and an instinct for helping anyone in need. His daughter, Melissa Robinson, said the project began with a shared desire to continue living as he did.
“We created The George V. Robinson Foundation to help keep our dad’s memory alive,” explained Robinson. “He truly was one of a kind and would help anyone in need.”
