The FBI is seeking the public’s help in locating Dontay R. Moore Jr., who is wanted on a federal warrant issued May 21, 2025, in the Southern District of Illinois. Moore, 22, is charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun. The FBI’s Springfield Field Office is leading the investigation and has requested assistance from communities across the Midwest, including the Kansas City area, and cities on the East Coast where Moore may be residing. Moore is described as a Black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos, including a broken heart on the front of his neck and tattoos on both forearms. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
