Farmers Market considers move to boost visibility
As interest in the Richmond Farmers Market continues to grow, organizers are considering relocating the event to increase visibility and create more opportunities for vendors and community participation.
Community Development Director Lisa Hastings outlined the potential move during a recent informational meeting, explaining the idea is still in early discussion and would require coordination with both the city and school officials before any changes are finalized.
For now, the market will remain at its current downtown location on Main Street while discussions continue.
Organizers emphasized increasing visibility and attracting more vendors remains a priority as they look to strengthen the market’s overall turnout.
Hastings noted one of the most common pieces of feedback has been the current location, as many residents do not regularly travel through downtown and may not realize the market is taking place there.
