Facebook first removes, then returns drug posting

HENRIETTA – Small drug seizures occur frequently in Ray County, but Sheriff Scott Childers said he became annoyed when Facebook took down his post about a larger bust. “We got drug trafficking charges out of it,” Childers said. “We got 79 grams of mushrooms.” He said he talked with a couple of people on drug task forces who said they had never seen that amount of mushrooms taken at once. The arrest also netted meth, marijuana, fentanyl powder and “fentanyl waste pills.” A legitimate prescription pain drug, Percocet, can be counterfeited and laced with a prescription pain medication, fentanyl, to increase the overall “high.” Fentanyl is about 100 times more potent than morphine and, often poorly blended by illegal drug-makers, can kill easily, which has happened in the Northland, as was revealed by Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies during a public forum in January. “There are drug dealers that have presses like what (is used) at a pharmaceutical company,” Childers said. “What they…
