An Excelsior Springs woman has been granted release while facing a weapons charge and additional drug-related allegations in Ray County. Jamie L. McDaniel, 43, is charged with three felonies, including unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She recently entered a not guilty plea to the charges and requested a bond modification before Eighth Judi - cial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins. Baskins agreed to modify the $10,000 bond and release McDaniel on her own recognizance. She will appear for a docket call at 9:30 a.m. on March 10. On Feb. 6, Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl. D. Fletcher was patrolling eastbound on Missouri Highway 10, west of Raymore Road, in Ray County, when his attention was drawn to a black Honda passenger car traveling westbound, with no registration affixed to the front or rear, according to the report.
