RICHMOND – The Richmond School District juggled high school sports leaders, starting with making Athletic Director Justin Remington the principal at Richmond High School. Remington joined the district in 2018 as the high school assistant principal and activities director, or AD. “Prior to Richmond, I was an administrator (AP/AD) at Holden R-III School District from 2011-2015; then at Clinton Community Schools (Iowa) from 2015-2018,” Remington said. While AD, Richmond football went from a 0-10, last-place team in 2018 to a 7-4 season last year, including a playoff win; the softball team for the first time won a district championship; and the boys basketball team won a district championship.
