As their spotlight this week, the University of Missouri (MU) Extension selected Jim Crawford, Field Specialist in Ag Engineering, to help ag producers in Northwest Missouri through his work as Director of the Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center. His involvement in the extension center has reached many people through field events, presentations and publications. In 2023, he oversaw the construction, finishing and outfitting of the new building at the extension center. Crawford has goals to grow the number of events at the center to better utilize the facility. He is also excited to expand research and demonstrations at the center to not only include work done by the current faculty, but more MU faculty as well as partnerships with surrounding states. During the 21 years as director of the Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center, Crawford has seen the center grow from 50-200 acres.
