RICHMOND – The Ray County Community Arts Association is sponsoring The Annual Fine Arts and Photography Show in concert with the Richmond Mushroom Festival.

The free public viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 6 and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 7 at the Friends Gallery, 110 S. Camden St., across from the downtown mural.

Guests may vote for the favorite entry as the People’s Choice, which comes with a $100 prize.

Guests may cast ballots for the People’s Choice winner until 4 p.m. May 7.

The Judges Choice comes with a $50 prize. Other categories come with a $30 prize. The categories are charcoal, china painting, wheel and hand pottery, pastels, wood burning, pencil or pen drawings, black and white photography, color photography, Photoshopped photography, wood or metal sculputre, mixed media, watercolor pencil, watercolor paint, acrylic paints and oil paints.

Judges will award first-, second- and third-place ribbons in each catogory.
