Richmond City Council approved Richmond City Police Chief Scott Bagley’s requested $7,641.82 in repairs to a patrol vehicle in the city fleet. The unbudgeted repairs will be made by Certified Transmission of Liberty. “Patrol vehicle #604, a 2018 Ford Explorer, has been encountering RPM shifting issues for a period of time. It’s crucial to highlight that these necessary repairs are not currently accounted for in the budget, requiring a budget adjustment to accommodate the additional expenses,” said Richmond City Administrator Tonya Willim. Bagley stated patrol vehicle #604 has been having shifting issues. “The vehicle has been looked at over the years multiple times for this issue and up until recently, the problem couldn’t be diagnosed.
