Community effort supports local history
A Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at the Ray County Museum offers Ray County residents an opportunity to participate in a hands-on volunteer effort focused on community and inclusion.
The event is being organized through a partnership between the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce and the Ray County Museum, with volunteers asked to assist with light cleaning and organization inside the museum from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 17, followed by a light lunch.
“The idea began as a conversation about creating a meaningful Day of Service that would truly bring people together,” stated chamber director Jayne Taylor. “From the beginning, this was a collaborative effort.
