Commissioners approve 24-hour Ray Rocks event

Ray Rocks Offroad Resort will open for a 24-hour New Year’s ride on Dec. 31 which was approved by Ray Couny Commissioners (RCC), last week. Owners Devin Wilmoth and Marianne D’Amato got permission from the RCC to extend operating hours beyond their conditional use permit for the holiday. “The commission granted them permission to ride for a 24-hour period on Dec. 31. The commission then allowed them to hold 15 special events for the 2024 calendar year; at this time they are solely approved for rally cross and hill climbs events within normal park hours. Anything that falls outside of these two event types will require them to present their plan to the commission for a vote,” said Ray County Planning and Zoning staffer Paula Patchett.
