Clarification:
In a recent story about the Ray County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled’s plans to construct a new facility, Director of DD Services
discussed staffing levels connected to the board’s day program.
Myers had noted that the organization employs about 30 staff members who “work a day program.” She later clarified that the 30 staff members represent the agency’s total workforce across all of its programs, not just the day program.
Of that overall staff, four employees are assigned specifically to the day program, which is currently serving 12 participants. The remaining employees are spread across other services the board provides, including in-home support and community engagement.
The clarification does not change the scope of the building proposal but provides additional detail about staffing distribution within the agency.
