City celebrates clerk’s certification, eyes infrastructure upgrades
A recent professional milestone brought recognition to Richmond’s court operations, as the city prepares for a busy season of infrastructure projects, financial planning and facility repairs.
Sarah Collins, the city’s court clerk, became a certified court administrator and was appointed Region Six director for the Missouri Association for Court Administration. She now represents cities and municipalities across a multi-county region extending to the Iowa state line, including Ray County, St. Joseph and Carrollton. Collins also serves as treasurer for the Western Association for Court Administration.
“I am also in charge of the social for next year,” said Collins. “So, the upcoming parties they have are up to me to plan and it’s the 40th year for the association.”
Collins received her certification and board appointment at a recent professional conference.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity and the chance I was given,” stated Collins.
