Children benefit from Kiwanis

The Richmond Kiwanis Club has been active. Kiwanians want to serve the Richmond area and make it better. They provided a donation and volunteers for Richmond’s Trick or Treat Street (Halloween). Members volunteered to pick up litter in Hamann Park last fall. During the pandemic, club members recognized that some community groups were going through a difficult time. Some who serve the community never receive any thanks. So the club decided to send cookies and an appreciation card to the Ray County Health Department and the Ray County 911 dispatchers. We also provided financial support for the Farris Theatre, since the pandemic reduced their support from other sources. Club members also recognized that our schools were going through a difficult year. So they agreed to send cookies and an appreciation card to each building in the Richmond School District and to Hardin School.
