Wet weather conditions, drainage issues and limited personnel make keeping the cemetery in top shape a constant job. Although extra problems that arise take time to resolve, they are not ignored, City Manager Tonya Willim said Monday. “My dad and my brother both are buried there,” Jim Rucker, Liberty, said. “Whoever the caretaker is at the cemetery has chosen to use some sort of weed killer. … There is about a 6-inches wide strip all the way around each tombstone and then, in between tombstones, they’ve sprayed as well. It’s just row after row of dead grass, and then they have mowed, and the dead grass has covered up the tombstones so that you can’t even see the names on them.” Ray Countian…
