Kirk Thacker hopes a trend he experienced as the varsity 8-man football coach at Hardin-Central and then while helming the Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man program will continue in his current position as the Orrick varsity 8-man coach. Generally, when Thacker’s teams at Hardin-Central or NHC played Southwest of Livingston County twice in a season, they would split, with one team winning the regular-season meeting and the other winning the postseason one, he recalled Monday afternoon at practice. “(There was) always that revenge factor,” Thacker said. Orrick, however, won’t play Southwest twice this season. Instead, the Bearcats (3-7) are playing undefeated Braymer/ Breckenridge twice. But given the Bobcats (9-0) thumped Orrick 68-6 in Week 4 of the regular season at Orrick, Thacker hopes the outcome of the District 4 meeting with Braymer/Breckenridge Friday night at Braymer will follow the regular season/postseason pattern of his Hardin-Central/NHC meetings with…
