‘BUSY TIME’

Posted in:
RICHMOND – “It’s a busy time of year at Dear Elementary,” school information states. Teachers and students have been trying to get back into the swing of things after several snow days kept them out of school. “Now that warmer weather has finally arrived, the students will be able to enjoy more outdoor learning activities,” school information states. The past few weeks, the kindergarten classes have been learning about wood as part of their materials unit in science. They explored the different types of wood, learned where wood comes from, went on a wood hunt in their classroom and playground, and read stories about wood. They finished the unit by making their own particleboard and plywood. “The students always enjoy the hands-on learning activities that accompany this unit,” school information states. Next up, the students will begin a unit on motion, where they will get to investigate how objects move and what happens when objects collide.
