RICHMOND – Just in time for Christmas, Peyton Bowman plans to open Leo and Kay Boutique, 103 W. Main St., across from the Ray County Courthouse. The fashion boutique opens Friday, Bowman said while stocking her store Saturday. Just before Christmas is a good time for a business to open, but Bowman also is opening at a difficult time – the worst pandemic since 1918. She said she could have waited a year, but the right location and other factors came together. “I saw the opportunity now and I didn’t know if I was going to have it next year,” Bowman said. “I know it’s kind of bad timing, but I think we’re going to push through this.
