Bond violations filed after $20,000 release, drug test arrest

Two bond violation reports have been filed on an Excelsior Springs woman who is facing nine felony sex abuse charges for allegedly insufficiently checking in with the court-ordered monitoring program. The violations came after she posted a $20,000 cash-only bond following her arrest on a failure to abide warrant for allegedly failing a court-ordered drug test while awaiting trial. The accused offender’s attorney, however, is disputing the findings of the violations. Desiree A. Alexander, 37, is charged with nine felonies and one misdemeanor from a 2022 case, including three counts of first-degree rape or attempted rape, two counts of abuse or neglect of a child, and one count each of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy, incest, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree attempted sexual abuse and firstdegree sexual misconduct.
