Bark Bargains reopens adds pet food pantry

Trials and tribulations may stop some, but manager Jenifer Dickson has learned to step around unforeseen obstacles rather than letting them stop her. Dickson reopening the 501c3 nonprofit, Bark Bargains Thrift Shop, along with a new pet food pantry. A grand re-opening is set for July 2, at the new location, 105 E. Main Street in Richmond. The goal of the thrift shop is to raise money for Autumn Acres Animal Rescue (AAAR) in Richmond, of which Dickson serves as president. “The pet food pantry is being done by AAAR,” said Dickson. “It is something that has been needed in our area for quite a while but especially now with the high prices of food. Muttnations and the Goods program are donating food to help out. AAAR purchased some pallets of dry food to try to get this started too,” said Dickson. This reopening means a lot to Dickson.
