Patricia “Pat” (Dooley) Misel, 78, of Cowgill, MO, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2020, at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City, MO. Pat was born on December 2, 1942 the daughter of L.E. “Buck” and Vera Mae (Carter) Dooley in Richmond, MO. Pat accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized. She grew up in Richmond and was a 1960 graduate of Richmond High School. On June 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to Billy G. Misel at the Millville Methodist Church. In 1967, they made their home in Cowgill, MO. Pat was the bookkeeper for the city of Cowgill, the Cowgill Fire Department, the Cowgill Water Department and the People Who Care Organization. She also worked at Jackson’s Hardware and Whittaker Cable before working for the NAPA Auto Parts Store and Kenny’s MFA Oil in Polo. Pat also served as an election clerk for Caldwell County. She was a 4-H leader and one of the initial first responders to serve the Cowgill Fire Department. She loved her kids, grandkids, honorary kids and honorary grandkids. Pat was a 34-year breast cancer survivor and after her experience, she helped countless women facing the disease through her faith and advice. She was an encourager and supporter. Pat never had a bad word to say about anyone and she made a huge impact on numerous lives. She loved to sew, travel and cook and she was a great cook. Pat will be dearly missed by her family, many friends and community.
