Bruce Allen Hinecker

Bruce Allen Hinecker, 63, of Richmond, formerly of Parsons, died at 3:52 p.m., Monday, Dec. 24, 2018, at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty.

He was born Jan. 20, 1955 at the former Mercy Hospital at Parsons, to Aleck Newton and Frances Ione (McCann) Hinecker. He was raised at Parsons and attended school there.

He married Becky Lynn Shields June 6, 1976, at the First Baptist Church in Parsons.         

He was a life-long railroader, working both for the MKT and later the Union Pacific Railroads. He and Becky moved to Kansas City when he was transferred to that rail yard in 1989. He retired in 2017. In his early years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed motorcycling and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters and sons in-law, Shanda and Eric Jarman, of Lenexa, Kansas and Stephanie Hinecker and Nick Duvall, of Aurora, Colorado; Three grandchildren, Wesley Jarman and Park Jarman, both of Lenexa; and Genesis Hinecker-Duvall of Aurora; Three brothers-in-law, Brian Bolinger and Dan Bolinger, both of Parsons; and John Shields of Hephzibah, Georgia. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2018, at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Travis Ball officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery.
