Robin Gay Brown

Robin Gay Brown, 59, of Richmond, formerly of Lexington, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.

Robin was born Jan. 17, 1959, in Waynesville, to Alvin Brown and Glenda Gay (Hickey) Porter.

Survivors include: her father, Alvin Brown of Seymour; seven siblings, Stephen A. (Malia) Brown of Independence; Alyn S. Brown of Richmond; Timothy B. (Renade) Brown of Lexington; Kimberly B. Porter of Richmond; Donnie Brown of Springfield; Phillip Brown of Ozarks and Danny Brown of Springfield; two aunts: Joye Waggoner of Lexington and Darlene Strickland of Eldon; five uncles: Lee (Donna) Hickey of Waynesville; Paul (Linda) Hickey of Secor, Illinois; Denzel Brown of Independence; Larry Brown of Tuscumbia and Gary Brown of Eldon; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family who will all dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents.

Robin had worked at S & K in Lexington. She lived most of her life in Lexington, she loved her dogs, was an animal lover, enjoyed feeding birds, and growing tomatoes. She especially enjoyed her family and spending time with them.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.

A celebration of life will be hosted by the family from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at the Patt Event Center, 1111 Main St., Lexington.
