Terry Lynn Cowsert

Terry Lynn Cowsert, 70, of Braymer, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at Kansas University Medical Center.

Terry was born on May 24, 1948, in Braymer, the son of Ervin Lee and LeVona Faye (Beam) Cowsert. He was united in marriage to Dianne Hatfield of Braymer on March 18, 1966; she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Rodney and his wife Diana of Norborne, Ryan and his wife Glenda of Braymer and Reggie of Norborne; two grandchildren, Lee Cowsert and Jennifer Cowsert; one sister, Janet Carnahan, of Warsaw; and his many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry was a 1966 graduate from the Stet High School. He lived most of his life in the Regal community south of Braymer. Terry farmed and showed livestock for years in the area. Terry was a fixture at Orscheln’s in Richmond where he worked for 30 years. He was a big supporter of area youth sports and followed all the teams. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Braymer and had served on the Stet School Board.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Quail Forever. They can be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main St. – P. O. Box 190, Richmond, 64085.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be from noon on Saturday until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Evergreen Cemetery at Braymer. Online condolences may be left to the family at
