Phyllis Ann Moss

Phyllis Ann Moss, 62, of Richmond died Monday, June 11, 2018, at Excelsior Springs Nursing & Rehab.

Phyllis was born on May 28, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo., to Donald Dal and Clara (Carter) Carter Sr.

Survivors include: one daughter, Danielle Cox and husband Nelson of Richmond; three brothers, Donald Carter of Richmond, LeRoy Carter and wife Ruth of Independence, and Jeff Carter and wife Lori of Richmond; three sisters, Joyce Decker and husband Bill of Excelsior Springs, Robin Carter of Richmond, and Terri Terranova and husband Petie of Richmond; two grandchildren, Tyler Connor and wife Amanda, and Briley Zamudio and husband Jason; and one great-grandson, Gunner Zamudio.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a special niece, Casey Carter.

Phyllis was raised and educated in Kansas City.  She had worked in the Recorder’s Office in Jackson County.  She also owned and operated Logan’s Run Bar in Kansas City.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Phyllis Ann Moss memorial fund. They may be dropped off or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E. Main St. or PO Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085
