Jamie Dawn Markley


Jamie Dawn Markley, 58, of Lebanon, Mo., passed away on June 11, 2018, in Lebanon.

Jamie was born on April 3, 1960, in Richmond, the daughter of Stanley and Sandra Wright Moppin. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Markley on July 10, 1982.

Jamie is survived by: her husband, Kenneth Markley; three daughters, Rebekah Sams and husband Gregory of Richmond, and Carey Markley, Kymee Harrison and husband Bobby, all of Lebanon; parents Stanley and Sandra Moppin of Richmond; two brothers, Sammy Moppin and wife Amy of Lawson and Matt Moppin and wife Cassi of Richmond; one sister, Kelly Rardon and husband Archie of Polo; five grandchildren, Graci, Clayton and Ainslee Sams, and Natalee and Maliya Harrison; one grandchild on the way, Jamie Sams; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; church family; and many dear friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by granddaughter Lucie Harrison.

Jamie was associated with the Head Start program in Lebanon for more than 20 years. She was a devoted pastor’s wife for 36 years and a loving and dedicated mother and grammy. She was a member of Mount Olivet Assembly of God.

Visitation took place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, 1001 Lynn, Lebanon. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Don Miller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Mount Olivet Assembly of God, which can be mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, PO Box 948, Lebanon, MO 65536. Arrangements are under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
